Nightmares (2015)

See how far you can get fleeing the darkness of the dungeons in this procedurally generated gm(48) game jam entry.

Nightmares was my contribution to the 15th gm(48) game jam - a game jam centered around the GameMaker: Studio development software.

The theme of the game jam was "Endless" and my goal with the jam was to create an endless, randomly generated maze for the player to flee from his nightmares in. It was a fun challenge to develop a neverending game, keeping in mind that there should always be a path forward no matter what. Also it was good practice in making character animations in the Spine animation software. While the character was pretty simple, rigging and animating is always a bit time consuming.

This game was developed solely by me, both animation, audio, code, idea and design. The GameMaker: Studio 1 project files are available for download alongside the game on the entry page.
